Strategy fork · Local completion or preserving the whole?

This preset midgame position belongs to the same classic level and does not change your current progress. Compare the consequences of two pushes, not just proximity to a goal.

Real-world challenge · Complete the consequence chain

Connect three plausible links, then choose evidence and an action. Practice proposing and testing possible consequences, not predicting the future.

Your chain: Choose action, changed condition and later effect in order

Main practice: second-order thinking—what follows the immediate effect?

Beyond solving, learn when a different question helps with a problem.

Second-order thinking: and then what?

Look beyond the immediate effect. Crate nearer the goal → passage narrower → can the next crate or you still get through?

Useful for decisions with immediate gains and possible later costs. Skip a handover to work faster today: will that cause rework tomorrow?

Supporting question: how could this fail?

Find conditions that would cause failure, then avoid them. Here, identify non-goal corners or blockage of the only passage instead of only pushing toward goals.

Useful when an ideal plan hides risks. Ask what could go wrong, why, and what can be avoided now. Working backward from the finish is another puzzle technique, not the whole of inversion.

A way to think about this level

A crate on a goal is not fixed. Sometimes a locally completed part must move temporarily to finish the whole.

Pause before pushing: what changes directly, what changes next, and which states are hard to reverse? After trying, check your prediction.

The game practices only parts of these tools. Solving puzzles does not automatically transfer to real decisions, which also need evidence, other people's feedback and ongoing checks.
